Unveiling the hidden health challenges: malaria, helminths, STIs and other pathologies among street children, adolescents and young adults in Cameroon

A cross-sectional study in Yaoundé revealed that street children, adolescents, and young adults in Cameroon suffer from a high prevalence of infections, including malaria (34.3%), helminths (10.9%), and STIs (HIV 3.6%, hepatitis B 8.7%), underscoring the urgent need for targeted health interventions for this vulnerable group.
